All machines and tools are provided.
We understand that learning on another machine might be intimidating or that you want to know how to work on your own machine. Many of the skills and order of operations that you will learn on our machines will apply to the majority of machines out there, as there are standard machine designs that vary only slightly across brands and over time. Your machine manual (also usually findable online if yours has gone missing) is a great tool that, paired with what you will learn in our workshops, should get you going on your machine without a headache. -
There will be 8 people max per workshop.
We offer a small, skills-focused and supported environment while having the space to learn from each other.

No, we pop up and rent spaces across the GTA (for now!).
All location details for workshops will be provided in the individual workshop details, and more info about the venue will be provided in advance of the workshop. Please let us know about any questions/concerns about accessibility in advance. -

We can find a space to host the workshop, or all the tools and supplies can come to you! Send us an email at commonthread.hamont@gmail.com to get things rolling.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel,
email us as soon as possible
Please read this policy before booking a workshop.
People get sick, stuff comes up and emergencies happen. There are also realities and limitations to running a small business, so please understand that in order to keep offering quality workshops we need to stick to our policy. please don’t ask us to make an exception to our policy.
If you can provide over 72 hours notice:
For individual bookings, if you need to cancel your spot and are able to give over 72 hours' notice, you will receive a credit that can be used for a future workshop. This credit will never expire, and will be issued to the email used to book the workshop.
If you cancel within 72 hours of the start time:
It is very difficult for us to fill workshop spots on short notice. If you cancel within 72 hours or do not show for the workshop, you are not eligible for a credit.
If you find someone to replace you in the workshop, we can try to arrange that they take your place. This is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate.
Multi-Day Workshops
Partial refunds are not available for missed sessions or if you can't finish your workshop.
If you could not finish your project in the scheduled time and you attended all sessions, there is no charge for the additional teaching time and we will arrange for a time for you to come to an open group sewing session with full access to machines and tools.
